Muslim Philanthropy Award
The Muslim Philanthropy Award honors every year an individual, a grantmaking institution and a corporation that best exemplify a strong commitment to social justice and to the advancement of strategic Philanthropy. The awards are given at a banquet during the annual convening of the World Congress of Muslim Philanthropy.
The outstanding personality award is presented to an individual or family with a proven record of exceptional generosity who, through direct financial support, has demonstrated outstanding civic and charitable responsibility, and whose generosity encourages others to take philanthropic leadership roles on a community, national and international level.
The outstanding grantmaker award recognizes a grantmaking institution that serves as model for others to become part of social change philanthropy; invest substantially to alleviate poverty, hunger, disease and illiteracy; and, demonstrate a long-standing commitment to economic empowerment, human dignity and institution building.
The outstanding corporation award honors corporations who demonstrate longstanding leadership in advancing strategic philanthropy, creativity in responding to societal problems, and who have significant positive impact on corporate giving.
